MISSION
Hero’s Hammer In is a charitable and educational nonprofit organization dedicated to serving United States military veterans and first responders by providing free, hands-on bladesmithing, blacksmithing, and metalworking education in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
The organization’s mission is to use traditional and modern metalworking crafts as a therapeutic, educational, and community-building tool to support participants’ mental well-being, personal growth, and reintegration into civilian and community life. Through guided instruction, mentorship, and shared craftsmanship, Hero’s Hammer In fosters discipline, focus, creativity, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Hero’s Hammer In programs are designed to:

Offer no-cost access to skilled instruction, tools, materials, and facilities for eligible veterans and first responders
-
Create a supportive peer community that encourages camaraderie, teamwork, and mutual respect
-
Promote safe skill development, problem-solving, and craftsmanship through structured forge-based education
-
Support stress reduction, confidence building, and emotional resilience through meaningful hands-on work
-
Preserve and teach traditional bladesmithing and metalworking techniques alongside modern methods and safety standards
Hero’s Hammer In operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes and does not provide clinical or medical treatment. Any therapeutic benefits are incidental to its educational programming and community support mission.

-
Maintaining the highest standards of safety, accountability, and instruction
-
Ensuring programs are accessible, inclusive, and respectful
